Trenching, Excavation & Rock Drilling
Stone City handles and coordinates trenching, excavation, rock drilling, and related ground work for underground power, pole, and utility-related projects across Kingston and Eastern Ontario.
This work is often needed before underground service, conduit placement, pole work, or other utility-related work can move forward.
Utility trenching
Trenching may be required when power needs to run underground between a pole area, service point, structure, or another part of a property. The trench path may need to account for driveways, trees, buildings, slope, rock, wet areas, and existing services.
Excavation for utility-related work
Excavation may be part of preparing a property for underground power service, conduit placement, pole-related work, or changes to a utility service path.
The amount of excavation depends on the job, the ground, the work area, and the path being prepared.
Rock drilling
Rock can affect both pole work and underground service work. On rural, waterfront, and uneven properties, rock drilling may be required to prepare for pole placement, trenching, or related utility work.
