Website Assessment

Not sure what your website actually needs?

A Sunflower Website Assessment is a paid standalone professional review for business owners who want a clear answer before deciding what to do next. The purpose is to understand the website properly, explain what matters, and recommend the sensible direction.

Four legitimate outcomes

The recommendation is not decided in advance.

  • Support it
  • Rebuild it
  • Leave it alone
  • Seek outside help
A new website is not the assumed outcome.

The recommendation is based on what the website actually needs. Sometimes the right answer is targeted support. Sometimes replacement makes more sense. Sometimes the site should be left alone. And sometimes the right next step is outside Sunflower Web.

A Website Assessment may make sense when...

You know something is wrong.

You cannot identify the real problem.

You have conflicting advice.

You want a professional review before spending more.

You inherited an older website.

You do not know what condition it is in.

Problems keep returning.

The site has accumulated years of changes and you are unsure whether continued repairs make sense.

Someone says you need a rebuild.

You want to understand whether that is actually justified.

A full Assessment looks at more than the homepage.

A full Website Assessment includes the live website and the underlying files/source. If that access is unavailable, a narrower public-facing review may sometimes be possible, but it is not the same as a full Website Assessment.

Full review = two views of the same website

What customers see
What is underneath

What we look at

What customers see

Content, clarity, navigation, usability, and mobile behaviour.

What is underneath

The technical condition, structure, maintainability, and basic search foundations of the website.

What it means for the business

What deserves attention, what can wait, what should be preserved, and whether continued investment makes sense.

We look for what is working too.

A useful Assessment should not make every imperfection sound serious. We identify strengths as well as problems, separate important issues from minor ones, and say when something can be left alone.

What you receive

Written report

A written report explaining what was reviewed, what is working, what needs attention, and what we recommend.

Plain-language priorities

Priorities so you can distinguish important issues from things that can wait.

Discussion of the findings

A discussion so you can ask questions and understand how the recommendation was reached.

Four legitimate outcomes

Professional judgment without a predetermined outcome.

Support it

The website is fundamentally worth keeping and targeted work makes sense.

Rebuild it

The existing foundation has reached the point where continued investment is poor value and replacement is more sensible.

Leave it alone

The website does not currently have a meaningful issue that justifies substantial spending.

Seek outside help

The site needs expertise outside Sunflower Web and a specialist is the better choice.

If the recommendation is Website Support or Website Design, you are not required to hire Sunflower Web for that later work. Website Assessment is a complete paid service on its own.
